Me llego este mail que copio abajo.
Ya tenemos servicios con softlayer, para ser precisos 87 servidores y puedo concluir que lejos es el mejor en servicios y estoy seguro que este cambio solo traerá beneficios

Opino como powerhost Softlayer es de largoooo la mejor compañia de hosting del mundo, su forma de trabajar es unica y es de lo mas profesional que he visto nunca.

Si alguien quiere montar una empresa de hosting como Dios manda ... debe tomarlos como ejemplo. (hablo a nivel de vender servidores, no hosting compartido).

Con este cambio es posible que podamos contratar servidores en los nuevos datacenter de Softlayer y eso incluye uno en Europa imagino que al mismo precio ... ya que si de verdad nada cambiara eso quiere decir que el precio es el mismo el DC que elijas.

Lo dudo mucho. Operar legalmente en Europa, emitiendo facturas aquí, es más costoso. Los clientes de Softlayer suelen ser empresas, pero el que no lo sea además se come el IVA. Claro que también hay que valorar que no es lo mismo tener un servidor en USA a tenerlo aquí, al lado de casa.
